Mwice-Margaret Kavindele is a London-based creative.
Founder and curator of The Cocoa Butter Club, Mwice is known for addressing under-representation of BAME bodies in cabaret.
In 2013, she founded Cue Tease Burlesque Ltd to stage burlesque and cabaret shows in Harlow town, Bishop’s Stortford and London. Today, working alongside stroke survivor Anna Higgs, Mwice’s shows have progressed to an annual theatre show and bi-annual cabaret extravaganza (Charitease) and vintage fair. All proceeds are donated to charities that support stroke survivors.
An accomplished creative, Mwice is a keen videographer, with specialism in the moving body. Her informed aesthetic is product of her BA (Hons) degree in Contemporary Dance.
Since 2013, Mwice has created film for cabaret artists, theatres, music artists and fitness experts. She has also created film for documentary.
In October 2016, Mwice became the first black woman to appear on the cover of QX Magazine, for the Black History Month issue.
